What a few of my clients have said about me…
Cornelia (April 2023)
You saw me with my daughter when she was about 6 weeks. It was transformational in our feeding journey…..I’m now exclusively breastfeeding with a chunky baby. I wanted to say thank you!
Alix (November 2022)
I valued your visit to me and my baby so so much. It set us off firmly on the right foot and I’m certain it helped us avoid lots of issues. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Babe is chubbing up nicely!
Charlotte (November 2022)
I’ve been meaning to message you to tell you that we’re still breastfeeding at 9 months, and more to the point loving it!…I wouldn’t have believed back then that we’d still be breastfeeding even at 6 weeks let alone 9 months (with no plans to stop any time soon!), and we only have you to thank for that. I was just blown away by your competence, support, kindness and pragmatism, and how much you clearly deeply care about your clients… And M. is the picture of health and happiness!
Rachael (October 2022)
Thank you so much for my consultation yesterday. Everything has been going really well since…..A. has put on 180g in 2 days!…… Best of all, you’ve given me a lot of confidence in what I’m doing with managing her latch and breastfeeding is now becoming a pleasure (which I was not expecting at this point)…
I feel I now have a really good foundation to come back to. I can’t thank you enough.
Irma (July 2022)
S. and I want to thank you for the consultation this morning. It was so very helpful! I will be going through the notes a few times to make sure I know it all before baby comes . We really appreciate the support and information we’ve got from you.
Liz (July 2022)
We are so grateful for your help as I could not have achieved this without your kindness and expertise. D. had her first birthday a few weeks ago and we are delighted with her. I returned to work 2 days per week when she was 11 months old. I continue to breastfeed her happily, we have adapted very well to this new change.
I have learned a lot through the process and I hope I bring the knowledge to my role as a GP.
Philippa (June 2022)
I have been sat here doing some weaning prep as D turns 6 months tomorrow and I wanted to get in touch to thank you for the amazing 2 sessions and on-hand support you gave us in the early days.
D. has been solely breastfed for the last 6 months and that was predominantly down to the professional advice you gave to us. I love feeding him now, it is pain-free, easy and he’s a very happy baby.
Thank you for your support, it was really important to us, we really wanted our baby to be breastfed, so we are very happy that we’ve been able to achieve this.
Sophie (December 2021)
Thank you for your email and help when we met back in December. Just to let you know that Orin is doing really well and feeding has become a lot easier. I have been using your feeding strategies and we managed to see a chiropractor the day after I met with you and that really helped with his tongue movement…..many thanks again.
We had the 6 week weigh in from the health visitors today and he’s tracking nicely on his birth centile with no weight gain concerns, which is just some additional confirmation that all is going well!
Rachel (July 2021)
I just wanted to thank you so so much for all your help with breastfeeding. S. is now 13 weeks and I have EBF him all this way. It is now completely pain-free and such a joy…so onwards our journey goes… It is all thanks to you.
Claire (June 2020)
I just wanted to say thanks so much for your help. Feeding is going so much better now, virtually pain-free…
Georgia (May 2020)
You came to the rescue of myself and baby back in October. He is now 7 months, a very healthy weight and feeding like a trooper!…It’s brought us so much closer and with baby on antibiotics from birth, having had surgery, eczema and a nut allergy, I know that breastfeeding has boosted his health when he’s really needed it and brought me comfort when I have. We couldn’t be here without you so thank you again….
Louise (May 2020)
I can’t thank April enough for all of the support that she has given with feeding. We first met when my baby was 2 weeks old. After being told the latch looked good and that I just needed my nipples to toughen up by midwives, April arrived in our lives, with her wealth of expertise and provided help when no one else had. Where it had felt that everyone else cared only for my baby, she cared for both of us, realising that I needed help if we were to continue on our breastfeeding journey. She spent time, observing and listening to our experience before working with us to create an action plan. We were left in no doubt about what to do when she left. One thing that I am really grateful for is her advice on how to get our baby back to birth weight. He had lost 12% in the first 3 days and we had had little guidance on how to catch him back up and the need for extras. Even as the journey improved, April was there to answer questions that I had. She signposted us to cranial osteopaths and we eventually realised that tension was being held in our baby’s head which meant he was not feeding well. Throughout every contact, April provided support which reminded me to be kind to myself and celebrate every bit of progress. I can’t thank her enough.

Many thanks for your email and your amazing help on Thursday.
Cliona (March 2020) says:
I just wanted to say happy lactation consultants day! And also thanks for helping me out 6 years ago with our eldest, Aoife. You probably don’t remember me but I was the Irish mum who had to relactate when my baba was on formula and barely able to feed at all due to tongue tie. Anyway she has kept boobing till she was 5 and a half, when she self weaned, and in addition my wife had triplets who are now 4 and they’re breastfed too! And basically none of that would have happened if you hadn’t help us out so much so thanks!
Martha (February 2020) says:
Just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you for everything you did to help my baby Freya and I last year. We had an unbelievably tough time with tongue tie, high palate, low weight gain, nipple aversion, nipple shields, vasospasms and more. But I fought every day to feed her and make it work. I’m sure you don’t get many emails like this so I wanted to let you know that it’s because of you that I was able to feed Freya for 8.5 months in the end. We have enough milk in the freezer to get us to approximately 11 months so I’m absolutely thrilled.
Hopefully I won’t need a helping hand with my next baby given that we’ve overcome every problem out there but if I do I know where to find you!
Sophie (June 2019) says:
“I always wanted to exclusively breastfeed however was concerned this wouldn’t be possible due to having flat/ inverted nipples. After an evening crying on the sofa in pain, I got April’s phone number from a friend who recommended her.
April came to visit me the next day and provided us with a really detailed assessment which highlighted that there was lots of sucking but limited swallowing.. April worked with me to practise different positions and built a plan the gave me to confidence to keep going which was successful.
Unfortunately the baby had a health scare and due to various trips in hospital and stress we ended up with a reduced milk supply and a baby who had lost a significant amount of weight. The midwife told me to use formula to top up and I was worried this would continue to effect my milk supply and I was desperate to be able to exclusively breastfeed my baby in the future.
April continued to work closely with me during this time providing support around how to eventually reduce the formula so that I could exclusively breastfeed – which I am now doing. The journey was really tough and if it wasn’t for April asking me to ‘just give it one more week’, I would not be sat with a healthy, growing breastfed baby today.
I cannot recommend April highly enough, she was great at keeping in touch, nonjudgmental and open to things like nipple shields, using Domperidone and the need to combination feed. She is caring, attentive and clearly expert in her field.
Thank you for all of your help April, it may have taken 5 weeks but we got there in the end and I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Lindsey (September 2018) says:

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support and guidance and am so thankful that I persevered with renting that pump and keeping going.”

James and Raiha (2014) say:
We can’t thank you enough for your support via home visit/phone during the last few weeks. We have been breastfeeding 100%, just magic! You were just what we needed, someone who took the time to understand our situation and addressit with a personal and professional approach. You were someone who gave us hope and encouragement when we needed it most, when we were being told that we had lost our chance, “the window” to breastfeed. Thank you for helping us achieve the family life that we wanted.
Sam (November 2014) says:
We now have a not hungry baby and a not sore Mum! Thank you so much, we couldn’t have done it without you.
Sarah (May 2014) says:
Millie is now 4 months old and I wanted to say a huge thank you for all your support in getting us from 2 weeks to this point. The health visitors are really pleased with her weight. Your help was so much appreciated.
